North Tyneside Council Measles Advice

Churchill is the Top School in the North East of England in the Latest School Performance Tables.

The government have published the latest national school performance tables based on last summer's examination results. They measure the progress all children make from entering secondary school at 11, to the grades they achieve in their GCSE's at 16.

Of the 290 secondary schools in the north-east of England, between Teeside and the Scottish border, Churchill Community College is number 1 for the best 8 GCSE grades each student achieved.

The national average score is 1000 and Churchill scored 1048. We were 13 points above any other school.

We were joint 3rd place out of 290 schools for our English results.
We were joint 7th place out of 290 schools for our Maths results

It is fantastic news and reflects the hard work of students and the fantastic teaching and efforts all of our staff make to support our students to achieve the best they can. We also recognise the impact of the support parents give their children in making sure they complete homework and are in college on time every day.

A huge well done to everyone! Congratulations to students and a very big thank you to our staff and parents.

Congratulations also to North Tyneside Council - there were 4 of our secondary schools in the top 13 out of 290 schools. Amazing result! Please click on the link below to see our position in the tables:…/schools/performance/…
